About the film:
Edward Scissorhands (1990), directed by Tim Burton, is a dark, fairy tale drama with gothic overtones. Gentle Edward (Johnny Depp), a creation fitted with scissors for hands, comes out of isolation after his inventor (Vincent Price) passes away. Adopted by the kind-hearted neighbor, Peg (Diane Wiest),with a daughter he eventually falls for (Winona Ryder), Edward enters a nearby suburban community as an eccentric outcast until he's recognized for his unique hedge trimming and hair styling capabilities.
Fun fact: the film is the fourth collaboration between Burton and film score composer, Danny Elfman, who both consider the film to be their most personal and favorite work.
