Description

A motorcycle ride inspired by two little angels: Jerome III and Gracie Bergman

Parents who lose children to miscarriage, stillborn or infant death experience heartbreak and pain unlike any other. On June 6, 2009 the Bergmans experienced that pain. What is normally the happiest time of two parents’ lives was their saddest with the deaths of their precious babies. Although they could not take their babies home, they were able to take home beautiful photos of them, clay molds of their hands and feet, and clothing that blanketed their tiny bodies thanks to a special bereavement fund at the hospital. From their grief, the Bergmans initiated a charity fundraising motorcycle ride in their twins’ memory. It offered a way to channel their love and memories into something to help bring comfort to others. Proceeds from this benefit ride are donated to Hendricks Regional Health Infant Bereavement program which supports families who have lost children due to miscarriage, stillborn or infant death. Funds provide families with memory boxes to fill with important keepsakes at no cost, including photos, molds of hands or feet, locks of hair, christening gowns or sleepers. Funds also can help support funeral and burial expenses for families in need as well as emotional support. By being a sponsorship partner and/or participating in the ride, you too can join the crusade to help.

Schedule of Events 10:00 a.m. – Registration, Raffle, Silent Auction, Meet & Greet 11:00 a.m. – Remarks 12:00 noon – Blessing of the bikes and kickstands up!
