Sophie Littlefield called a “writing machine” by the New York Times, Sophie Littlefield writes historical fiction, thrillers, crime fiction, and young adult novels.  Sophie has won Anthony and RT Book Awards and been shortlisted for Edgar, Barry, Crimespree, Macavity, and Goodreads Choice Awards. Under the pen name Sofia Grant, her new novel, THE DRESS IN THE WINDOW (William Morrow, July 2017) explores the lives of three women who break into the fashion industry after the end of  WWII. Shanthi Sekaran teaches creative writing at California College of the Arts, and is a member of the Portuguese Artists Colony and the San Francisco Writers’ Grotto. Her work has appeared in Best New American Voices and Canteen, and online at Zyzzyva and Mutha Magazine. Her first novel, The Prayer Room, was published by MacAdam Cage. A California native, she lives in Berkeley with her husband and tw children. Her most recent novel LUCKY BOY (G.P. Putnam’s Sons, 2017), an unforgettable story of two women bound together by their love for the same boy, weaves together the themes of motherhood, immigration, infertility, adoption and minority life in America. (Photo by Daniel Grisales)

   

Olivia Rathbone honed her writing chops as the lead author and project manager of the award-winning Occidental Arts & Ecology Center Cookbook (Chelsea Green Publishing 2015).  Life-long farmer and cook, she spent many years managing the OAEC kitchen and orchestrating innovative meals inspired by seasonal produce from their on-site gardens and orchards. She has a passion for language, graduated Cum Laude from the University of Maryland with a BA in Speech Science, and is currently the Communications Director for OAEC.  Olivia balances time spent writing on the computer by managing an 8-acre apple orchard and farm in Freestone CA.

  

Elizabeth McKenzie’s latest novel is The Portable Veblen, named a Best Book of 2016 by NPR, the San Francisco Chronicle, The Guardian, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Kirkus, Elle, and BookPage. It was shortlisted for the 2016 Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction and a longlist finalist for the National Book Award for Fiction. Ticket includes coffee, assorted pastries and boxed lunch. Lemonade & water will be available with lunch. Wine will be available for purchase.
