Literacy and Math specialists from the Alameda County Office of Education share a powerful tool to help students navigate text-heavy problems and communicate their thinking. Participants will analyze the literacy demands of a task and engage with a modified KWTL/3-Read tool that scaffolds learning to meet those demands. Presenters incorporate language-specific strategies while fostering the Mathematical Practices to ensure the success of every student in the math classroom, regardless of literacy level.
