About the Venue

The Portugal Agile Coaching Retreat 2022 will be held at PESTANA SINTRA GOLF HOTEL in Sintra, located in the mountains and countryside of Sintra, about 30 minutes’ drive from Lisbon airport. The Pestana Sintra is a 4-star hotel located in Quinta da Beloura in Sintra, a luxurious area surrounded by lush gardens with an 18-hole golf course only 10 minutes away from the town of Sintra. The hotel offers a Spa with sauna, Jacuzzi, gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and Turkish bath.

Uber prices are estimated around 25 to 30 euros and official airport taxis around 40 to 50 euros door-to-door. If you prefer to take public transport (takes about 1.5 hours in total but is much cheaper), Metro and train journeys are also available and the services run regularly. You will have to take the Metro from Lisbon Airport to Restauradores Metro station and then change to the overground Rossio train station and take the train towards Sintra. You need to get off at Rio de Mouro train station and take a short taxi ride from Rio de Mouro station to the hotel.

End of June and July is peak summer time in Portugal. To take advantage of the cheapest and best flights, book in advance, a.s.a.p.

The weather in June promises to be excellent. It will be hot and we will have sunlight until about 22.00h. Stay an extra night and join us for: Lisbon by night guided tour of the most interesting Lisbon sites and a visit to Lisbon famous nightlife. The ticket you are purchasing includes the following:

· Hotel accommodation with breakfast included (from 24 to 26 June)

· Hotel venue with main conference room + 5 breakout rooms.

· Hotel conference equipment + flipcharts, stationery, etc.

· Friday: Dinner, late pm snack (evening networking)

· Saturday: Morning coffee break, lunch, afternoon coffee break, dinner, late pm snack

· Sunday: Morning coffee break, lunch, afternoon coffee break

If you are bringing a guest who will be staying at the hotel but not attending the retreat, you can upgrade to a double room and your guest will be entitled to a free breakfast as well (but not to the meals served for the retreat attendees).

For retreat attendees whose return flights are on Monday 27 June or later, you can choose to stay for up to 3 extra nights at the same hotel at the same daily room rate. If you decide to extend, you can also join us for a Lisbon by night guided tour of the most interesting Lisbon sites and a visit to Lisbon's famous nightlife on Sunday 26th June (after the end of the retreat). Prices for the Lisbon by night tour will be advised closer to the date subject to a minimum number of attendees that wish to attend.

Hotel room extensions need to be purchased through the hotel directly but only closer to the date of the event.
