Description

See the magnificent Lions of Windsor & Maidenhead 2019 pride, decorated by some of the world's leading artists and designers, gathered together for the first and last time at the 'Lions Roar Goodbye' auction preview weekend on 9th & 10th November.

All 47 of the beautifully decorated, supersized lions and cubs will on display in the ex-Fenwick store in Windsor to photograph and say your farewells before the purr-fect pride heads off to the charity auction on 28th November.

DATES & TIMES
- Saturday 9th November - 1000-1800 (last entrance 1700)

- Sunday 10th November - 1100-1700 (last entrance 1600)

EVENT - The 'Roar Goodbye' weekend will be the perfect opportunity to see any lionsyou may have missed over the summer and choose which of the roarsome pride you might like to bid for at the charity auction!

ACTIVITIES - As well as all of the lion and cub sculptures, there will also be lots of free activities for lion fans of all ages, including:

- Carters Steam Fair lion decoration and calligraphy workshops (1200 -1400)

- Dawson's Antique 'Roarshow' valuations (bring small items & photos of large items for valuation

- Jump In Trampoline Park spin-the-wheel, lucky dip and Meet the Mascot

- Hands-On-Art 'design a lion' competition (Winners choose a ceramic safari animal to decorate, glaze & fire at their studios in Old Windsor)

- Live entertainment from West End 'Lion King' singer David Albury (1200 & 1400 Sat)

- Lions of Windsor artists' exhibition and souvenir shop

- Exhibition of photos from the Tusk 'Year of the Lion' Photography Competition

- Face-painting/art by lion artist Anna Kompaniets, refreshments at the Windsor & Eton Brewery bar, Look Good Feel Better beauty goodie bags, lion sponsor displays, Lion souvenirs and other roarsome activities!

LION SHOP - with souvenir progammes and a wide range of fabulous Lions of Windsor merchandise

VISITOR INFORMATION

TRAIN - There are 2 stations in Windsor – Windsor & Eton Central + Windsor & Eton Riverside, with regular services from London. Windsor & Eton Central station is a 5 minute walk (with ramps) to Windsor Yards

CAR - The Windsor Yards car park is open 24/7, with over 700 spaces. Entrance from Charles Street, SL4 1EF.
The Roar venue is approx 25 metres from the Windsor Yards car park lifts. Please note that the roads by Windsor Castle will be closed from approx 1030-1130 on Sunday 10th for a Remembrance Day Parade.

BUS - The nearest bus stop to Windsor Yards is on Charles Street.

TAXI - The nearest taxi rank to Windsor Yards is outside Windsor Castle on Thames Street. There is a taxi drop off point close to the shopping centre entrance on Charles Street.

VISITING ON FOOT - Access to Windsor Yards shopping centre is via ramps at two entrances – up from Peascod Street or down from Windsor Royal Shopping. Access can also be gained from the Plaza but this is not suitable for visitors with accessibility requirements.

TICKETS - Please show your ticket on arrival. Tickets will also be available to buy on the door up to one hour before closing time each day. Card & cash payments accepted.
