Linotype The Film-Baltimore Industry Screening

AIGA Baltimore, ASMP Baltimore (American Society of Media Photographers), the Litho Club of Baltimore, the Production Club of Baltimore, and the Printing & Graphics Association MidAtlantic (PGAMA) are pleased to present an industry screening of "Linotype: The Film" at the Baltimore Museum of Industry.
"Linotype: The Film" is a feature-length documentary centered around the Linotype type casting machine. Called the "Eighth Wonder of the World" by Thomas Edison, it revolutionized printing and society. The film tells the surprisingly emotional story of the people connected to the Linotype and how it impacted the world.

All proceeds of the event to go towards the renovation of the Mergenthaler wall displayed in the main Gallery at the Baltimore Museum of Industry.

5:30pm-6:30pm Linotype demonstrations, networking, light refreshments and snacks
6:30pm-7:00pm Pre-screening introductory remarks
7:00pm-8:15pm Linotype: The Film screening
8:15pm-9:00pm Post-screening discussion, Linotype demonstrations
