Linoprint Workshop for beginners
Overview
Join this relaxed and friendly session to learn how to turn an initial idea into a finished artwork, printed using traditional linocut skills. You will get step-by-step guidance on how to make a design, transfer it to a lino block, cut it safely and ink and print it using a small printing press. Stella will also cover how to print at home without a press. You will leave with a small number of prints with your own original design. All materials and tools provided.
Stella Yarrow has been printmaking for ten years and is an experienced printmaking teacher. She loves to share her skills and enthusiasm for printmaking and build her students’ confidence and creativity.
You don't need any previous experience of making art.
You will be able to take the prints you have made home with you - and yes, you'll make more than one per session. Price includes all materials on the day.
Small classes with lots of 1-2-1 attention from teacher.
Wear clothes you don't mind getting inkstained and/or bring an apron.
