LLP Training Workshop (Nov 11 & 12)
2-days of training designed for members adopting the LINGOs Learning Platform in 2014 or early 2015. Learn the basics of branding, posting content, and using the features of the front end; learn what you need to load your users into the back end; define catalogs and learning paths; and run basic reports on the LMS back end. Workshop at the Hotel Vintage Plaza. We understand plans can change: Registrations may be transferred to another person in your organization. Registrations cancelled more than two weeks before the event will be refunded minus a $55 cancellation fee.

The event of the year for LINGOs Members! Join LINGOs and the member community for our tenth annual member meeting.

Network and learn with fellow members, invited speakers and the LINGOs team.  Hosted at the Portland, Oregon (USA) headquarters of founding member Mercy Corps, the  agenda is packed with sessions facilitated by members of our community, invited speakers and LINGOs team members.

Session topics of interest to all  -- "black diamond technology" geeks to those new to organizational learning and technology based learning.

Pre Meeting Training on the LINGOs Learning Platform (LLP)

(Nov 11 and 12, Tuesday and Wednesday) If your organization is adopting the LLP in 2014, or planning to launch in early 2015, register for this 2-day training event with the LINGOs Tech Team to learn all you need to manage the new platform. The new LLP is a big step forward and includes a Word Press/Buddy Press front end and NetDimensions Talent Suite LMS on the back end. This workshop will provide you with what you need to set up and manage your LLP.  

  • Front end: Brand your portal and add your customized messaging and content, develop your resource wiki and define your communities and groups
  • Back end LMS: Load your users into the platform, create catalogs and learning paths, run reports

Where to stay: 

We have a second block of rooms at the Courtyard Portland City Center. The rate of $149/night is available until Friday Oct 24, or when the block fills.  Please book quickly!  The Courtyard is a little closer to Mercy Corps and located in front of a MAX public transit stop. A few rooms are available at this rate before and after the meeting for those coming early or staying longer.

The original block of rooms at Hotel Vintage Plaza has filled. The Welcome Happy Hour on Wednesday evening and Tenth Anniversary Celebration on Thursday evening Nov 13 take place at the Vintage Plaza.

In July 2017, LINGOs announced a merger with InsideNGO and Mango.  The new Organization is Humentum.  As part of the Learning Services Program we have over 95 international humanitarian relief, development, conservation and social justice organizations that share learning resources and experiences. Through the Membership we provide NGOs the resources to leverage shared innovations, content, collaboration and connectivity to increase the skill levels of their employees, their performance, and, therefore, increase the impact of their programs.
