Linda Gass Presents  “Can Art Change Our Water Consciousness?”

Linda Gass believes in the power of art to affect people and motivate change. Gass’s artwork is inspired by the connections between humans and water, and the land that sustains them. Her presentation will take guests on a photographic journey to the places that inform her work, from the wilderness areas of California to significant water interventions in the American West, along with images of her artwork made in response to her experiences and research. She will also include artworks created by the artists in the Museum’s current exhibition, H2Oh! that Gass juried for Studio Art Quilt Associates. More than just a lecture, the program will follow a salon style discussion, where audience members will have the opportunity to experience a new appreciation and awareness for water resources and develop their own answers to the question of “Can Art Change Our Water Consciousness?”

This lecture is made possible by a grant from the Knight Foundation/Speak Up! San Jose

**The event is free but reservations are requested. Seating is limited.
