LIL DEBBIE

Lil Debbie was raised in Albany, California. She is of Italian descent and has a dual Italian and American citizenship. After graduating high school, she went on to study fashion design at FIDM. Later, she dropped out due to "having too much homework." When she was 15 years old, she met Kreayshawn and V-Nasty who she had been friends with, before having issues with Kreayshawn during White Girl Mob and eventually getting kicked out, dropping the friendship in late September; however, she has since had contact with V-Nasty and they remain good friends to this day. She was an only child and spent a lot of her time hanging with the two and considered them as her 'sisters'. The three later went on to create the group White Girl Mob.
Music career[edit]

In 2011, Debbie appeared in the music video for Kreayshawn’s song 'Gucci Gucci' which got more than 40 million views on YouTube.

In September 2011, it was reported that Debbie got kicked out of the White Girl Mob due to being disloyal to the others. Debbie stated miscommunication and misunderstandings in the group were the main reasons for her departure. Debbie later stated she didn't have much input in the group and she was just following the others' decisions.

In 2012, Debbie teamed up with Houston rapper RiFF RaFF. The two released a number of songs together, including 'SQUiRT', 'Brain Freeze' & 'Michelle Obama' (aka Presidential Tint). The videos for 'SQUiRT', '2-Cups', & 'Gotta Ball' (with V-Nasty) became viral successes, each gaining over 1,000,000 views on YouTube and the success of the songs helped to catapult her career. On October 27, 2012, Debbie released her single 'Michelle Obama' (aka Presidential Tint). The official music video, directed by Maxwell Albert, was released on YouTube on November 6. Eliot Glazer from Vulture went to compare it to Kreayshawn’s breakthrough. Her newest single, "I Do it" featuring K00LJOHN was released in February 2013.

On October 22, 2013, Debbie released her first EP Queen D, which includes three original songs and two remixes. In November 2013, she went on her first US tour. A mixtape, titled California's Sweetheart, was set for release in the summer of 2013, but has been since delayed and it was eventually released on March 25, 2014 as her second EP.
Inspiration[edit]

Debbie states that she finds her fashion inspiration in "anything and everything" - including colors, patterns, fabrics, people and places. Apart from hip-hop, she listens to many different genres of music such as blues and southern rock. She is also influenced by the diverse cultures of the Bay Area, where she grew up.
