Event Details

The future isn't about the next social media tool or clicking a "Like button" and being likeable is not the same thing as just being nice. Why do we believe some people and not others? Beyond money, what truly motivates employees to give their best efforts every day? How can we turn every customer we have into a passionate advocate for our brand? These are just a few of the questions that businesses of all sizes grapple with every day. Some have to do with marketing, while others seem more culture driven. In an overloaded world, we can't find the time to do everything. So what takes priority? How DO we manage our time, resources, money and motivation to really grow our business?

In this one-of-a-kind "double header" event, best selling author (and cadre member) Rohit Bhargava will take attendees behind the scenes of his newly released book LikeonomicsHe will share fascinating new science combined with remarkable stories from around the world that prove when it comes to what makes us ultimately decide to act (or not) - personal relationships and the simple metric of likeability trumps everything else. Then, in a DC-area first, a group of DC area business owners who were all featured in the book will take the stage to share their own personal stories I an interactive live session.*ALL ATTENDEES WILL RECEIVE A COPY OF ROHIT'S NEW BOOK "LIKEONOMICS" (a $15 value)*

Rohit Bhargava is a marketing expert and author of the highly anticipated new book Likeonomics.  His specialty is helping organizations bring more humanity to their business through social media, storytelling and more visionary leadeship. As a member of the Global Strategy & Planning group at Ogilvy he advises some of the world's largest brands on marketing and communications strategy. His personal blog, Influential Marketing, has been viewed by more than 1 million readers and is recognized as one of the top marketing blogs in the world. His first book Personality Not Included was a global marketing bestseller and was translated into 9 languages. He is proud of his reputation as a "nonboring" keynote speaker, but prefers to be known as an approachable (and likeable!) guy. Rohit also teaches Global Marketing at Georgetown University in Washington DC, where he lives with his wife and two young sons.

Our events bring together many of DC's most remarkable professionals, who are always open to sharing and developing meaningful business relationships. Take a look at what some attendees have said about our past events:

Trying to figure out where to best spend your networking time? I just spent an evening at a cadre event headlined by Chris Brogan. Not only did I drink from a firehose with respect to social media and Google+, but I also solved one business problem and met a handful of spectacular people. I'll be should come!” --Landon Johnson

The Brogan Bash was an informative, entertaining, comfortable, valuable, well-paced event that allowed attendees to connect with each other and with the rockstar Chris Brogan.” -- Suzi Pomerantz, MT, MCC

“I thought the speaker was engaging and addressing a timely topic. This is my second Cadre event and am struck again at how open and excited everyone is at the events. It is rare for me to find people more "up" than I am.” -- Richard Hughes

The cadre Chris Brogan event was a timely and relevant experience enhanced by a superb host and brilliant audience. Seriously very good and worth the time investment.” -- Paul Boudrye
