Event description

The combination of Lightroom and Photoshop in Adobe’s creative cloud for photographers represents the single most powerful and comprehensive software suite available to photographers. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, together, it’s everything you need. There is often a debate among photographers as to which piece of software is better and which to use. The real answer is to use both. Adobe packages both products together in a suite for photographers for a reason. Adobe also designed both products to be used interchangeably but for different purposes and with a specific workflow in mind. The products were designed, and continue to be designed, to be used together.

During this workshop, Cliff will be explain and demonstrate why, how and when to use both Lightroom and Photoshop together to create the powerful, effective and efficient workflow available.

From beginners who are looking for a working knowledge of Lightroom and photoshop, of workflow and Digital Asset Management, to the seasoned pro’s with a thorough understanding of either of the programs who are looking to build a more effective and efficient workflow, this workshop will explain exactly how to leverage the best capabilities of each tool to build the ultimate workflow.

About the Instructor:

Clifford Pickett is a professional travel photographer, commercial photographer & videographer, event photographer and educator. He is based in NYC but his work takes him around the globe. He first picked up a camera while spending a year traveling through Europe after having earned his MBA early. Like many travelers, that passion for seeing and experiencing the world is precisely what ignited the spark for photography. Clifford has since spent all of his time learning how to see and capture the world with what he refers to as "a new mind". He hasn't been shooting for 40 years, he hasn't been alive for 40 years. He hasn't been classically trained in the fine arts either. He is entirely self-taught, which has formed within him his greatest asset: the ability to relate to the amateur photographer. Leveraging both the business and photography skills he has developed and maintained for over a decade, he is the owner of several successful photographic enterprises and a corporate commercial video production company working with clients such as Estée Lauder, Sephora and Clinique.
