Lighting Up the Future
2nd Annual CraftingEducation Gala
It’s here Once Again! We are truly "Lighting Up the Future!"
This is the once a year event and CraftingEducation Academy is honored, once again, to celebrate this amazing evening. This is the charity benefit; to help provide children the opportunity to learn various STEM programs, technology, leadership skills and social skills.
This is our Future; help us Light It Up!
This spectacular Gala will captivate, amaze and thrill you like no other this year.
The evening will begin with Hors D’oeuvres, live music, photo opportunities and treasures galore. A glorious catered dinner will be served, with some surprises, and be followed by a Never Before Seen Live Performance from the Incredible:
Muscle Memory Dance Group!
The Muscle Memory Dance Group and Marty Mercado have created The entire performance in support of CraftingEducation; they believe in early education, technology, the development of STEM and mostly… CraftingEducation.
The Muscle Memory Dance Group and Marty Mercado are The Well-known Local dance phenomenon featured in Florida Today. The team of dancers are featuring a “lights out” event to “Light UP the Future”: once in a lifetime.

When & Where
A sophomore in the Viera High School, Slayde Kerner is enrolled in the Academy Communication Art and Design program, Advanced Honors Program and the Digital Design Club. In 7th grade, he created an After-School Computer Club in a local school and began teaching over 50 students per week. He has since opened CraftingEducation Academy a STEM non-profit educational charity focusing on various software programs to enrich the lives of our youth through technology and innovation. The Academy is designed to be focused on the individual student to create an interactive, inspiring environment using various digital media such as 3D Solid works, Photoshop and MinecraftEdu.
The core of the program is the Leadership Academy. The Leadership Academy consists of a select group of students that are mentored to develop the skills to become the group “leaders.” These leaders take on the responsibility to assist in instruction, design programs, develop curriculums and contribute to the learning of others; ultimately giving them the opportunity to apply for a partial scholarship.
CraftingEducation Academy offers classes at the main location and is currently in 5 schools as an After School Enrichment Club. Additionally, we have joined the Brevard County Sherriff’s Athletic League or PALS program to provide technology to the underprivileged youth throughout Brevard county.
My goal at CraftingEducation is to provide all youth the opportunity to be experienced in business skills, responsibility, commitment, and to become the next group of entrepreneurs.
