Join us at the George S. Eccles Legacy Bridge on the University of Utah campus at 7:00 p.m., October 15, 2016 as we light the bridge red to highlight Dyslexia. This is for students with Dyslexia and their families, there will be treats for the kids as we wait to cheer when the bridge is lit red in honor of Dyslexia awareness month. The bridge, and other structures around the world, will be lit up red in recognition of Dyslexia Awareness month. Red represents the frustration parents feel, the shame dyslexics experience and the red marks covering dyslexics' school work.
The Governor’s office has officially declared, “October 2016 is to be Dyslexia Awareness month in Utah.” October is also National Dyslexia awareness month. Decoding Dyslexia Utah is participating with other Decoding Dyslexia chapters and individuals around the nation to “Light Up” Dyslexia awareness on Oct. 15, 2016.
