About Christopher Luna
Clark County Poet Laureate Christopher Luna is a poet, publisher, visual artist, teacher, and editor. His visual art has been shown locally at Angst Gallery, North Bank Artists Gallery, High End Market Place, and his collages have been used as book covers. He has an MFA in Writing and Poetics from the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. He is the co-founder, with Toni Partington, of Printed Matter Vancouver, an editing service and small press that serves Northwest writers. Together Luna and Partington edited and published two volumes of poetry from Ghost Town Poetry Open Mic, the popular reading series that Luna established in 2004, as well as debut collections for Vancouver poets Jenney Pauer and Tiffany Burba.
Instuctor Luna believes collage is a fun and relaxing way to make art. Allusion and reference have always been an important methods of creating new art. Join Clark County Poet Laureate Christopher Luna as we assemble borrowed words and images and explore some of the basic concepts of collage.
