Lift Every Voice and Sing Performance traces the songs that helped tell the story of the history of Black people, from spiritual to gospel music, including the popular protest songs that paved the way to make a difference. The presentation uses Music as a vehicle for communicating beliefs, aspirations, observations, joys, despair, resistance. The performance includes the powerful stories that reflect the history of Black People interwind with the songs that gave them the Faith, Hope, & Triumph to carry on.
