Are you ready to be apart of history? !

For the FIRST time in the history of Michigan, there will be a Free Public Library that focuses on African/African American Heritage, History & Culture. We have secured funding to house over 5000 essays, books, visual art, discographies & resources from the African Diaspora across the globe.

Often times we hear that the true histories of African Americans has been lost. Stolen and ripped away from our ancestors and passed down to its inheritance in fragmented pieces. Lift Every Voice Public Library is here to bring cohesion and accessibility. We are here to bring culturally appropriate programming and solutions for all ages, races, religions and members of the community. African history is WORLD history, and it deserves to be presented with tact, dignity, and true observance.

In honor of our living legends. The heartbeats of our community and inspiration for growth and advancement. Included in the evenings festivities, will be the LEV True Hero’s ceremony! Honoring 10 members of the community who go above and beyond to shape and create a positive narrative and produce influential change around them!

Join us for a night of entertainment, education and celebration, and don’t forget our Auction! There will be beautiful art pieces, artwork, rare books, and more! Purchase your tickets at the $75 level to get your paddle included with your purchase.

We as a community want to see improvements in crime, poverty, and violence rates. We as a majority want our elders safe, our young adults educated, and our youth prepared for the world. Our daily lives may not permit us to act in the capacity we desire, but LEV is here to stand in that gap. With support from illustrious community leaders and organizations. Lift Every Voice Public Library can and will save lives and create leaders! We hope to see you Saturday June 17th @7pm for the Lift Every Voice Library Gala & Auction! Dinner is included with every ticket purchase. Any ticket over $150 will automatically gain you a 2 year LEVL membership which will give you access to all programming, events, workshops, book signings and more.
