LifeSkills Training for Middle School Youth - 2021 Winter Session

This virtual training involves six sessions, every Wednesday from February 17 through March 24, 2021, from 5:55 - 7:00 PM. The class will meet February 17 and 24 and March 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2021.
Middle school students (6th-9th graders) are invited to participate in a FREE, exciting LifeSkills Training program! Join us and make new friends, while learning healthy habits and building skills that will help you prepare for the world of high school and beyond.
Program topics include: decision making, coping with anxiety and anger, communication skills, social skills, and the myths and realities of smoking, alcohol and marijuana.

Students who participate in at least four of six sessions will earn a gift card, awarded following the last session on March 24th. Students will be mailed workbooks prior to the first class. He or she will need reliable web access, a web cam and good mic. Students will be expected to be on camera for the duration of all sessions.
The course is limited to 11 participants. Regular attendance is expected!
Formed Families Forward is able to offer this program for no fee to families with the support of Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services’ Partners in Prevention Fund. It is open to youth grades 6- 9 in Fairfax County, Fairfax City and Falls Church City.
