Life With Pixels is a creative meetup/night for anyone who lives, eats and sleeps creative work through a digital format.

The goal of this event has always been to share work and techniques. Every year we organize an animation contest. You should enter!

Anyone who submits to the animation / video contest must also submit projects files. With the idea that when you submit you gain access to the production files other creatives. All creatives approach problems differently. Give a room full of creatives a task and each will have a viable, if not interesting, solution. The idea of our contest and event is to help showcase this and help all creatives share their approach/techniques as well as help us all progress and grow.

We encourage everyone to enter the annual video and animation contest!

The goal of this event has always been to share work and learn techniques, since all creatives approach problems differently. Give a room full of creatives a task and each person will have an interesting and viable solution.

Because of this, anyone who enters the contest must also submit their project files for others to view. This way, entrants can get an inside look into everyone else's workflows, methods, and processes.

The goal of Life with Pixels has always been to showcase work, network, and most importantly, share approaches and techniques so we can all progress and grow.

Submission deadline 9/18

Asset deadline 9/27

This year in addition to the our Video/Animation Showcase, we’ve added in gallery space for the creative community to showcase and share. We’re looking for creatives who would be interested in sharing projects, work, or even workflows at the event. That’s illustrations, branding,  art direction, and photography or even project breakdowns and process. Space is limited so the sooner we hear from you the better.

If you're’ interested please send us an email - - by 9/18 with a basic idea of what you’d want to present, and we will need everything for installation by 9/27. Keep in mind all we have is wall space and logistically you would have to provide any and all materials for the space. Ie: prints, frames, podiums and displays.

Come join fellow creatives at the 3S Artspace on Thursday, October 5th at 4:30pm for a night of industry keynotes, and good friends.

Event Speakers:

  • Rich Woodall of Mad*Pow and Dark Horse Comics
  • Speaker Topic: 'How to stay creatively motivated after work'
  • About Rich: Rich is a senior visual experience designer and illustrator at Mad*Pow. Rich likes comics, watching movies and spend time with my family. He lives in ice cold New Hampshire but wears shorts all year round. He works inside year round and it's warm inside, so really, why bother with pants? He’s been a professional illustrator / designer for almost 30 years and can remember when photoshop didn’t have layers. He's best known for his current Creator Owned book at Dark Horse Comics: Kyrra Alien Jungle Girl. He’s also worked on other creator owned books too: Johnny Raygun, Zombie Bomb!, and the Life and Times of the Supertopian and Sgt. Werewolf (currently running on Patreon).

  • Christian Boudman of Clearcut FX
  • Speaker Topic: 'Big Time VFX in Little Town NH'
  • About Christian
Christian Boudman owns and operates Clearcut FX, a small company in the woods of New Hampshire specializing in high-end visual effects for movies and television.  A twenty-five year veteran of the entertainment industry, he has personally contributed to over a hundred feature films and television series as well as dozens of commercials and music videos.  Recently, he and his team wrapped their fourth season of Game of Thrones, completing over 800+ shots across all episodes of the past four years.
  • Thomas Kim
  • Speaker Topic: 'CG vs Stop-motion: What computers can't do'
  • About Thomas: Thomas is just a high schooler. The only thing remotely interesting about him would be his 3-year stop-motion passion project. From taking 10 hour 6-day storyboarding classes, to crowdfunding over $5k in 3 weeks, he has done whatever it takes to get his current short film off the ground. Although not much of an animator, he inspires to explore the human psychology through the medium of visual storytelling-- a medium hopefully everyone can relate to.
