Life Stress Reduction & Case Planning Workshop

4-day workshop with Michelle Booth, LCSW

Prerequisite: the Traumatic Incident Reduction Workshop

The Life Stress Reduction (LSR) workshop will equip the therapist or facilitator with a new paradigm of structured and simple techniques to create a safe working environment for the client or person who is seeking to address unproductive life issues.  The structured techniques taught in this workshop are easy to learn and to apply.   They are very efficient and powerful in helping clients to release emotional charge and resolve issues that may have challenged them for years.

Upon completing the Life Stress Reduction Workshop you can expect to get good results applying the techniques you have learned. This workshop includes skill-building exercises and the opportunity to give and receive supervised Life Stress Reduction sessions, and practice in developing customized case plans using the wide variety of techniques taught.

Life Stress Reduction (LSR), is part of the larger subject of Applied Metapsychology, and can be used to assist an individual in taking a comprehensive inventory of life areas that are needing to be addressed and systematically tackling them through the LSR techniques.  Each LSR technique is designed to approach an issue, remove emotional pain, resistance and confusion from that issue, and result in greater clarity and awareness in relation to the issue.  Upon completion of their Life Stress Reduction work a viewer sustains a higher baseline of functioning and concurrently experiences diminished concern about past events and current life situations.

This workshop includes techniques introduced in TIR and dozens of additional techniques:

  • expanded disturbance handling

  • expanded exploration

  • an extensive program for handling an Emotionally Charged Relatioship

  • an extensive program related to Body Image Issues

  • Recall Lists for improving general recall abilities

  • Expanded Unblocking and Life Stress Lists

  • 25 additional techniques not covered in other workshops

This workshop also includes skill-building exercises, an opportunity to give and receive supervised LSR sessions (co-facilitation), and practice in developing customized case plans using the wide variety of techniques taught. This workshop also provides an opportunity to network with other TIR facilitators.

Prerequisite: Introduction to TIR Workshop. The Life Stress Reduction & Case Planning Workshop is designed for individuals who have already taken the Introduction to Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) Workshop and so are familiar with the background and protocol of the subject, and wish to further their abilities by incorporating more techniques into their repertoire.

Price includes: workshop instruction and manuals, beverages and light snacks.

Visit Applied Metapsychology webpage for additional workshop description.

28 CE hours:    This training was approved by the [USA] National Association of Social Workers, provider #886415259,  and by NAADAC, provider #860.

The continuing education credits for this TIR-related program may also be submitted to the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists towards certification and re-certificating as a Trauma Specialist, a Trauma Responder, and a Trauma Service Specialist.

Participants in all professional disciplines will be provided with documentation of 28 credit hours for use in securing CE credits from their respective licensure boards and/or professional associations. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of practicing social workers, psychologists, therapists, counselors, clergy, and critical incident stress debriefers.

Our Refund Policy: If you choose to cancel your registration you will be given a full refund less a $75 processing fee up to 14 days before the start date of the workshop. Participants wishing to cancel their registration after this time waive the right to a refund, but will be issued full credit toward a future workshop date.

About the organizer

Michelle Booth is a certified facilitator and trainer in Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), Life Stress Reduction (LSR), TIR Expanded Applications, and TIR for Children.  Michelle owns and operates a specialized private practice with a focus on trauma recovery work in Northern Virginia and Culpeper, VA.  Her private practice offers trauma recovery through individual sessions and individualized therapy intensives.  The use of TIR and LSR enables people to transform the relationship with their life stressors, put an end to nightmares and flashbacks, and resolve conditions in months instead of years.   Workshop students who would like to become certified in any of the three methods once they are trained can sign up for supervision with Michelle.
