Event description
Life Over Loss: Finding Joy Again is a life-changing women's grief retreat for women who are dealing with the pain of loss in their life

About this Event

Grief Doesn't Heal . . .You Do!

What you will experience:

• Find Joy Again: Get off the grief roller-coaster and figure out what YOU need to do to move forward with happiness and joy.

• Find Purpose: Feel strong and capable again, even if it seems impossible right now.

• Feel Connected: Overcome the loneliness and isolation that you feel because you don't have your partner or child in your life.

• Let Go of Guilt: Let go of any guilt and your fear of being without them. Feel confident again that you can handle anything that comes your way.

• Walk with Others: Meet and connect with other women walking the same path as you. Make connections and new life-long friends.

• Become Whole Again: Experience Denise’s unique FLOW Method and feel whole again.

• Unique Breakout Groups: Go even further on your journey with the opportunity to learn and share with other women that have experienced the same loss.

• Beautiful Sound Healing: A sensory experience in which participants are awash in sound vibrations produced by singing bowls, voice, and other sound tools.

• Breathing Room: A sacred space to be supported and loved throughout the event.

This life-changing retreat is for women who are grieving losses due to the death of a partner, child, parent, sibling, or the pain of divorce. Our mission is to provide a safe haven where women can learn tools and strategies to move forward in their life with purpose and joy.

We will have breakout sessions for these groups: widows, loss of child, loss of parents & siblings, and divorcees, so that we can provide more in-depth support.

We will end the day on Saturday with a beautiful and healing Sound Bath, provided by Seattle Sound Temple, which is a unique and wonderful blend of sound concert and transformative healing session, a sensory experience in which participants are awash in sound vibrations produced by singing bowls, voice, and other sound tools.

We will offer short yoga sessions during the event as well.

Antares Wellness

Lashanna Williams is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Washington’s own Northwest Academy for the Healing Arts. During a massage, her goal is always a flowing conversation between her hands and your tissue. "My touch is not a pointed deep touch, yet we access deep tissues without you leaving in pain. Causing pain is counter-intuitive to how I walk this life. "

As Board President of A Sacred Passing, Lashanna joins in community collaboration, creating engaging and productive death and dying educational opportunities for community and professionals. While instructing massage students or doulas, she is able to impress the importance of trust and honoring autonomy.

She is certified in MBSR-T, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens. Combining her formal education and experience with meditation, games and art, Lashanna has created an engaging 8 -10 week program for teens.

Lashanna practices from an in home studio that creates an environment that bathes you with light energy. The grounds are lush with herb and vegetable gardens, chickens and love.

"If energy is neither created or destroyed, I am quite sure we've met sometime before" - thegoodwitchofcascadia
