The title, ‘Life on Life’s Terms’ is a positive expression that means accepting life’s circumstances and choosing to live through them. It’s a message for everyone who personally knows or has suffered through periods of mental ill health. Part of the recovery from mental ill health is accepting how little is in our control. But rather than view it as unfortunate, consider the opportunity to be further informed by life! And make plans with those things that you can control.
Life on Life’s Terms is the brainchild of Buckley Lowe, an English hairdresser that has a deep, lifelong passion for art. As well as creating his own pieces he loves supporting fellow artists and bringing people together through art.
As Buckley says, this is particularly relevant now with the effects of a pandemic. People must try to overcome challenges of social isolation and finances. We believe that events like this can help to provide hope. The inspiration for the name comes directly from his own experiences coping with anxiety, addiction, health, rehabilitation and the stresses of fast living.
