A survey of the life and works of a cornerstone of Italian culture, opera composer Giuseppe Verdi.

About this Event

This survey of the life and works of a cornerstone of Italian culture, opera composer Giuseppe Verdi will be led by Buck Ross at the ICCC on February 4th, 18th and 25th, 2020. The course includes a ticket to Houston Grand Opera’s production of Aida on February 11th!

This course will teach you everything you always wanted to know about Aida by Verdi. Buck Ross, director of the Moores Opera Center at the University of Houston will give you a taste of the Orient by telling you how one of the most spectacular operas was created and how it impacted History.

Each class will run from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Classes will be held at the ICCC on Tuesdays, February 4, 18 and 25, 2020. The second session will be at the Houston Grand Opera on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 to see HGO's production of Aida.

*Price includes ticket to Aida at the Houston Grand Opera.

Registration deadline: January 13, 2020. No refunds or credits after the first day of class.
