Event description

Description

The State of Utah Division of Water Quality (DWQ) will be publishing "A Guide to Low Impact Development within Utah" on their website in January of 2019. Four free training sessions will be held to familiarize MS4s, developers, consultants, and interested parties with the content of the guide and compliance with the upcoming 90th percentile storm retention requirement. Michael Baker International, the developer of the guidance document, will be leading the training and discussing topics from the manual including: compliance with the 90th percentile retention requirement, calculating and retaining the 90th percentile storm, low impact development best management practices, project documentation, storm water integration at the jurisdictional and project level, and a discussion of local case studies. Representatives from the storm water section of DWQ will be present to answer questions on implementation and permit requirements.

This training is free to attend, however an RSVP is required to ensure appropriate seating room. This event is for the PROVO training. The three other trainings are located in Salt Lake City, St. George, and Logan. Please attend the training most convenient to you.

The LID guide can now be found at the following address: https://documents.deq.utah.gov/water-quality/stormwater/updes/DWQ-2019-000161.pdf
