LibKey Webinar for OCUL Libraries

About this event

Libraries have used link resolvers to connect users to full text content for over twenty years. However, along the way published studies, internal library surveys, and informal user feedback consistently reveal their shortcomings. For most researchers today, clicking on a link resolver button means the potential of never getting to full text because of a broken link; having to navigate menus and waiting for vendor pages to load before getting to full text; having to authenticate before accessing an Open Access article; unwittingly linked to an article that is the non-version of record or, worse, one that has been retracted. Not to mention when using open web services never seeing the link resolver option at all. There ought to be a better way!

With LibKey from Third Iron, there is. Join Third Iron Co-founder and CEO Kendall Bartsch on Tuesday, August 9 at 11:00 am EST to learn how LibKey's article-level knowledge and intelligent source selection are transforming how libraries connect researchers to full text. Kendall will discuss how LibKey delivers fast, reliable, one-click access to millions of articles from publisher and aggregators; uses a unique Open Access knowledge base to deliver the best Open Access awareness and linking; incorporates retraction data to help libraries prevent the incorporation of retracted articles in future research; and is a technology that can be used from any point of discovery. Attendance is free but space is limited. Reserve your spot today!
