Liberty Utilities Energy Education Workshop - Kirksville, MO

This workshop is a FREE energy themed professional development opportunity for educators. Presented by the Missouri Botanical Garden's EarthWays Center staff in partnership with Liberty Utilitites, this workshop is an exciting, fun and free opportunity to learn more about energy, bring these topics to life in your classroom, and much more!
Participants will be provided with copies of all materials and activities needed to bring the topic of energy to their classroom. From forms and sources and renewable energy to the Law of Conservation and electricity generation this workshop has it all. We will show you how to build you understanding of basic energy concepts, the science and infrastructure behind electricity, and how energy connects with a sustainable future. Activities are leveled to meet the needs of a wide range in grade level and ability, and aligned with state, Common Core, and Next Generation Science Standards.
Registration is FREE and includes lunch and a $75 stipend; must live or teach within the Liberty Utility service area to receive stipend.
