Liberty State Park Protection Act Rally
Event Information
About this Event
Please come out to the Rally to Support the Liberty State Park Protection Act two days before the legislative session ends. The Act’s purpose is to protect LSP for future generations after 4 decades of overwhelming grassroots opposition to privatization plans.
This event will show support for this landmark Act and opposition to Liberty National Golf Course's owner, billionaire Paul Fireman's, revived plan to destroy LSP's Caven Point natural area to relocate golf holes for the private use of multi-millionaires. Caven Point serves as critical urban habitat for migratory birds, an environmental education resource, and a peaceful public sanctuary.
After the rally, all are invited to a free guided nature tour of the Caven Point natural area. (about a half an hour from the rally location). Please spread the word, and we hope to see you there in solidarity for open space and urban habitat.
