Event description

Description

For decades, the Supreme Court has repeatedly recognized the right to make personal decisions about marriage, family planning, child-rearing and bodily autonomy. This freedom to make these personal decisions stems from the Constitution’s “liberty doctrine."

Join our panel of experts on reproductive rights and LGBT rights for an in-depth discussion of personal liberty rights and the potential impact the new Supreme Court may have on protections for the LGBT community and access to reproductive healthcare in Florida and nationwide.

Featuring:

  • Laura Goodhue, Executive Director, Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates
  • Judge Rand Hoch (retired), President and Founder, Palm Beach County Human Rights Council
  • Scott Ruskay-Kidd, Senior Staff Attorney, Judicial Strategy, Center for Reproductive Rights

Moderated by:

  • Elizabeth F. Hodge, Of Counsel, Healthcare, Akerman LLP

With welcome remarks by: Marcy Hahn-Saperstein, Partner, Healthcare, Akerman LLP

Lunch will be provided. 1.0 Florida CLE Credit Pending.
