Our Guest:

Jennifer Grossman, CEO of the Atlas Society

Jennifer Anju Grossman, a former Senior Vice President at Dole Food Company, became the CEO of the Atlas Society on March 1st, 2016.

Jennifer Grossman has spent decades helping people to live freer, healthier lives. She launched the Dole Nutrition Institute a research and education organization at the behest of Dole Chairman David H. Murdock. She continued this agenda as Health Editor of Laura Ingraham's new lifestyle site, LifeZette.

Previously Grossman served as Director of Education at the Cato Institute, and worked closely with the late philanthropist Theodore J. Forstmann to launch the Children's Scholarship Fund. A speechwriter for President George H. W. Bush, Grossman has written for both national and local publications.

"The principles of Objectivism, the philosophy rooted in reality, reason, and individualism, has never been more needed nor more neglected,” says Grossman. “This is the perfect moment to help the public rediscover the moral vision of Ayn Rand."

Delegate Tim Hugo, Virginia State Representative

Tim served as the President of CapNet – a technology association dedicated to educating and electing public officials who recognized the concerns of the technology community. He has also served as the Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. Tim worked closely with the Chairman on groundbreaking national transportation legislation (“TEA-21’’). During the Administration of President George H. W. Bush, he was the Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Legislative Affairs.

In 2002, Tim was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates with almost 70% of the vote. He is currently third in leadership in the House of Delegates, serving as Majority Caucus Chairman. He also serves on the Commerce and Labor, Transportation, Finance, and Privileges and Elections committees.

Congressman Tom Garrett, Virginia's 5th Congressional District

Tom Garrett is the freshman Congressman representing Virginia’s Fifth Congressional District.

Early on, Tom acquired both his Bachelor’s and Law Degrees from the University of Richmond, and began his service to our country with six years in the Army. During that service he honed his leadership skills, had an opportunity to work with great American patriots, and fight for the Constitutional rights we hold dear.

In 2007, Tom entered public service in a new way. That year he challenged and defeated a two term incumbent for the office of Commonwealth’s Attorney in Louisa before winning a landslide election to the Virginia Senate in 2011.

Having represented the 22nd Senatorial District in the Virginia General Assembly, Tom has been working tirelessly for years in this region on job growth and economic development.

Over the years, Tom has received numerous awards including: 2012 Freshman Legislator of the Year (Virginia Chamber of Commerce), 2013 Defender of Liberty (American Conservative Union), 2014 Legislator of the Year (Virginia Chamber of Commerce), 2014 Champion of Justice (Virginia Association of Commonwealths Attorneys), 2015 Defender of Liberty (American Conservative Union), and most recently the FreedomWorks May 2017 Member of the Month.

During his tenure in Congress, Tom will be working to advance Constitutional principles, rein in reckless spending, improve education initiatives for our students, and put the safety and security of this nation above all else.

He was named to the House Committees on Homeland Security, Foreign Affairs, and Education and Workforce for the 115th Congress.
