Event description

Description

With Barbara McAfee and Tom McSteen

What untapped gifts does your voice have in store for you?

What might happen in your life if you fully expressed yourself?

When was the last time you played hard, breathed deep, cut loose, felt free?

In this joyful, illuminating workshop, you will:

• Open up the full range, power, and expression of your voice.

• Learn how to use your voice to improve your leadership, strengthen relationships, and live more alive.

• Reclaim lost aspects of yourself.

• Risk being seen and heard in braver ways.

• Embody your voice more deeply.

• Join with a lively community of vocal explorers.

You do NOT need to know how to sing to participate in this workshop.

There will be singing involved, but we won’t read a lick of music and no one will have to sing a solo.

(In fact, no one will have to do anything they don’t want to do.)

Workshop hours:

Friday, October 18 from 6 to 9 pm

Saturday, October 19 from noon to 6 pm

Sunday, October 20 from 1 to 6 pm

Please plan to stay for the entire workshop.

About Barbara

All of Barbara’s work takes root in voice. A masterful voice coach, she invites people to find their voices, whatever that means to them. Her book, Full Voice: The Art and Practice of Vocal Presence, presents what she’s learned from decades of “midwifing voices.” Since 2013 she has been training other Full Voice Coaches to carry on this work.

She is also a singer/songwriter, community song leader, and founder of a comfort choir that brings song to people facing health challenges. A native Minnesotan, she lives across the street from the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

About Tom

Tom has been a Full Voice coach since graduating from the program in 2016. He co-taught the 2018 coaching cohort and continues to lend his expertise and wisdom to this work.

After completing a twenty-nine-year legal and compliance career in Minneapolis in 2016, Tom started a second career as a life coach, Still Pond Coaching, to assist others to live powerful and purposeful lives. Tom is a certified by the Strozzi Institute as a master somatic coach, and he is also a certified by the Newfield Network as on ontological coach. In addition to his coaching practice, Tom is the founder of Sacred Discourse.
