Too often project risk today is allocated according to bargaining power rather responsibility or an ability to manage, with professional services firms being forced to shoulder an increasing burden that pushes the limits of available and affordable cover.
While New South Wales is currently presented with a robust global insurance market, it is far from certain that annual insurance products will be able to meet the long-term requirements of existing projects and contracts under negotiation.
These systemic risks create a liability time bomb for the State and the businesses operating within it.
This Breakfast Briefing will provide insights into the immediate and long-term issues of risk management and insurance, and will include an update on the latest research and advocacy from Consult Australia.
