LGBTQ+ Relationship Skills Class

Do you identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning? Have you ever wanted to learn new strategies for sustaining healthy relationships? Fierce Pride is teaming up with Identity Inc. to offer a free 3-session course to teach members of the LGBTQ community skills to start and sustain healthy relationships.
Who: Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, intersex, transgender, gender non-conforming, gender-variant, and agender people.

Analyze power and empowerment
Identify their values and desires in relationships
Learn patterns and qualities of healthy relationships
Learn skills to navigate conflict productively and compassionately
Learn communication skills
Hear from local organizations about resources
Learn options to help others in unsafe relationships
Where: Classes will be held at Identity, Inc. 204 West Main Street Farmington, NM.
When: 3 Sessions offered over one weekend.
Saturday, April 22nd 10am-12pm, Session 1: What do YOU want? Power and empowerment.
Saturday, April 2nd 1pm -3pm, Session 2: Breaking patterns of violence & creating healthy communication
Sunday, April 23rd 1pm-3pm, Session 3: Compassion and productivity in conflict & ways to intervene with a friend who might be experiencing intimate partner violence
How: The class is free, and participants can receive a $50 stipend for completing the class and completing a pre- and post- survey.
This class qualifies for six (6) Social Work CEU’s Approved by NASW-NM. Counseling and social work CEU’s are reciprocal.
*Interpreters are available and happily provided. Please let us know before April 10th, if you need an interpreter. We ask that folks come to the class with low-to-no scents to keep everyone welcome and present during the series.*
