Chaired by Dr Chris Thomas, Lecturer of Law at LSE

Angela Mason was Director of Stonewall (1992-2002), chair of the Fawcett Society (2007-2013) and is now Councillor of Camden Council. Chris Smith was one of the first openly gay MPs who stepped down from politics in 2005 and was appointed a life peer as Baron Smith of Finsbury. He is now Master of Pembroke College, Cambridge. Peter Tatchell is a British human rights campaigner, best known for his work with LGBT social movements. He is Director of the Peter Tatchell Foundation.

The speakers will consider what has been achieved since the 1967 Sexual Offences Act and the partial discrimination of homosexuality and what hurdles still have to be overcome for LGBT rights.
