Event description

Description

Are you thinking of running an event for the 2019 London Festival of Architecture? Join us for the first in a series of workshops we’re running to help you get the most out of planning and running your events.

Many practices make the most of their festival events to promote themselves and unlock new opportunities. But many do not maximise the full potential that the festival brings them.

Our first CPD seminar for architecture practices and other event organisers is designed to help you gain helpful tips and skills on maximising media and PR coverage from your LFA events.

We’ll look at how to successfully design, market and advertise your festival event in order to gain maximum publicity for your practice. Many of the PR skills and tips you’ll learn here will help your wider work.

This event is free for Patrons, Benefactors, Trade Partners and Festival Club Members - who have been sent a discount code to book their free ticket.

We’ll cover:

- developing a clear event idea

- writing an appealing event description

- preparing a press release

- choosing good images

- working with journalists

- harnessing social media

The workshop will be run by Steven Harding and Rosa Rogina,

Steven Harding is director of Goodfellow Communications - an award-winning consultancy specialising in architectural PR and communications. For the last three years Goodfellow have managed the LFA’s Press Office, helping to significantly grow the festival’s traditional and social media reach.

Rosa Rogina is the LFA’s Head of Programme – helping ensure the quality and diversity of all events as part of the LFA programme. Rosa’s work with our Curation Panel ensures she knows what events work and which are likely to get overlooked.
