About this Event

Lexi Street

Lexi Street, longtime chanteuse of the Atlanta music scene is relocating with her family after many memorable years. This show will be her fond farewell as a resident. She’ll connect with her fans this one more time with a “best-of” set, gleaned from her vast store of earthy, perceptive and evocative originals.

She’s had a great year: in the film Interviewing Monsters she not only made significant contributions to the soundtrack, she got considerable screen time as a central character; for the 2019 UNICEF Global Philanthropy Gala she was featured musical performer; and she extended her reach to the Big Apple, playing Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn. She released a new recording, Panorama, and she was nominated for the JPL Independent Music Awards for Bite The Hand in the Female Singer/Songwriter category.

Her music embraces the deepest fabric of Americana, resonating with jazz, pop and blues influences in bittersweet reflections on love, intimacy and just being human.

Papa Jack Couch

Papa Jack Couch is celebrating, along with his band, the Standard Electric Irregulars, as they release the vinyl of their album Witness Tree, which they’ll play in its entirety.

His direct influences reach back to Gram Parsons and Johnny Cash. His voice has been described as Tupelo honey over burnt sourdough, and his playing style, on a ’59 hockshop Martin, as just good enough to forestall eviction, but he writes with insight and conviction. In this, his second album in two years, and in this show, he continues his collaboration with some of Atlanta’s best musicians; Micah Cadwell, guitars; Matt Wauchope, keyboards, Robert Green, bass, and Michael Dana, drums.

He’s received glowing reviews in Creative Loafing Atlanta and the Atlanta Music Grapevine, which also published a lengthy profile. Having just completed a successful musical jaunt to Belgium, playing for a mission organization in numerous venues; bars, churches, prisons, homes and street corners, he’s now thrilled to be back ‘home’ for another turn at Eddie’s Attic.
