Description

Recognized as one of the nation's best public gardens, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond, VA, invites you to explore more than 50 acres of themed gardens, including a Conservatory and Children's Garden; enjoy exciting events; and experience great shopping and dining. The Garden is open daily 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. with some extended summer hours. Eventbrite tickets purchased through this page are good any day April 1 - October 15, 2017.

IMPORTANT TICKET INFORMATION

Tickets are good for any regular daily admission -- (does not include Dominion GardenFest of Lights).

The Garden is open rain or shine and closed only for severe inclement weather (no refunds). Any weather-related closings are posted to the website.

1. Print your Eventbrite ticket or have ticket on your smartphone.

2. Come to the Visitors Center and show ticket at the admissions desk for check-in.*

3. After check-in, you're good to go! Admissions will hand you a sticker and you can proceed to the gardens.

*PLEASE NOTE: If you're visiting during high-volume times, there may be a line at the admissions desk.

Wild Art: A Journey Off-Canvas NEW!

May 26 – October 1, 2017
Explore as works by regional artists come alive in displays using live plants and natural materials throughout the Garden’s 50 acres of cultivated landscape. See the link above to learn more about the artists, Creation Stations, related events, and the #MyWildArt Instagram contest.

Extended Hours for Historic Garden Week with live music, historic Bloemendaal House open, dining, shopping, and more. Wednesday, April 26 ONLY, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

National Public Gardens Day

Enjoy a free drop-in tour of historic Bloemendaal House, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Early Morning Hours

8 a.m. opening on Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Programming and Butterflies LIVE! do not begin until 9 a.m.

Flowers After 5

Thursdays June -- Mid-September, 5 – 9 p.m.
Relax on summer evenings; stroll through the gardens; enjoy live music, wine and beer, as well as dining and shopping.

Fidos After 5

Select Nights Only. See link above for details and dates. The Garden partners with the Richmond SPCA and leashed pets are allowed during Flowers After 5 on these special nights only.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Tickets can be used any day for regular admission. (We are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).
  • Children (under 3) and Members are free!
  • Tickets are non-refundable and Garden member tickets are non-transferable.
  • Garden Members must be prepared to show member ID card.
  • You must have a printed ticket or be prepared to show the ticket on your phone or electronic device.
  • Parking is free, however please be aware that parking is limited.
  • Dogs are only allowed on select nights. See Fidos After 5 for more information.
  • WaterPlay is open seasonally, and weather permitting. Please note WaterPlay opens at 1 p.m. until school gets out (June 12th.) See the full WaterPlay schedule.
  • Outside food and other items may not be brought into the the Garden. See guidelines for planning your visit.
