Open Studio sessions are instructor-supervised hours set aside in the letterpress workshop for experienced letterpress printers to work on their own projects.
Anyone wishing to use the letterpress workshop during Open Studio must have previously attended an introductory orientation session. For more information or to register for an orientation session, visit the letterpress webpage.
Each letterpress open studio session will also have a brief instruction and demonstration of a variety of letterpress topics. The demonstration for this session will be cutting a linoleum block.
Instructor: Robert Metzler

Book Arts Workshop
The Book Arts Program at Dartmouth College consists of a Letterpress Studio and Bindery Studio. It is open to all levels of experience; instruction on using the printing presses and in binding books is given. There is no fee to use the studios or to attend workshops but participants are expected to follow posted guidelines for cleaning up after themselves and putting away type. Failure to do so may result in studio privileges being revoked. The studios are open Fall, Winter, and Spring term. See our website for more information.
