Let's Talk Mental Health is a workshop focused on mental health disparities and ethical clinical practice with diverse therapy clients.

Let's Talk Mental Health is a seminar geared towards mental health professionals (e.g., therapists, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, LCSW, etc.).
Objectives: (1) Identify barriers to treatment, (2) Describe ethical challenges and practice when working with diverse clients, and (3) Recognize strategies to enhance clinical practice and client engagement (e.g., assessment of race-based stress).
Workshop Speaker: Dr. Erlanger "Earl" Turner, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and nationally recognized expert on mental health and multicultural psychology. He was recently one of the lead contributors for Improving Cultural Competency for Behavioral Health Provider, an e-learning program developed by the US Department of Health and Human Services. Following the seminar, Dr. Turner will discuss his new book "African American Mental Health: Innovations in Research and Practice" and be available for a book signing. More details about the workshop will be available soon.
