Event Details

Join Women Bike SF for a special panel discussion on Wednesday, Jan. 24 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. This panel will be moderated by Katie Styer, host of the Oakland Bikes! radio program, and will feature a panel of inspiring, trailblazing women. In this event, we’ll be discussing the parallel paths of intersectional feminism and biking. We’ll explore the barriers often faced by female -identifying  or gender- nonconforming people who want to bike. Kids are welcome; light snacks and beverages will be provided. For more information, go to sfbike.org/women

Panelists Include:

Binky Brown is the owner and founder of Hard Knox Bikes, a specialty bike shop offering hands-on workshops for the not-so-average rider.  Services and resources support all those who identify as women, people of color, trans and all other gender rebels and allies throughout the East Bay.

Catherine Callahan is the Mobility Management Project Coordinator at Center for Independent Living, which provides advocacy and services that increase awareness, collaboration, and opportunity among people with disabilities and the community at large.

Jane Natoli is a board member at the SF LGBT Center, whose mission is to connect people to opportunities, resources and each other to achieve a vision of a stronger, healthier, and more equitable world for LGBT people and allies.

Amy Benson was previously the Associate Project Director at CompassPoint, a training institute that guides nonprofits as they become better managed, more adaptive, and achieve higher impact toward social equity.

Additional details regarding the panel and bicycle parking options coming soon.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to get through the SF Department of Environment building security.
