Event description

Description

Although death is something we will definitely have to experience, and which may even occur today, it
remains a subject that is seldom openly discussed. Conversely, rather than ignore death, the Buddhist
path reveals that an acceptance of our own impermanence is a prerequisite for self-development. Through
contemplation and meditation, this understanding will gradually lead us to a sense of real freedom and inner
peace. We will be inspired to prioritise our life, to unlock our potential and to open our heart to others. As
well as coming to terms with our own mortality, it is almost inevitable that we will have to care for family and
friends as they too approach the end of their lives. In this course we will explore how to develop the courage
and stability for giving both emotional and spiritual support to others at the time of their death.
