During this online session, we'll discuss the value, benefits and challenges of caregiving and receive information on resources available.
About this event
Caregivers are the backbone of our country. One in five Americans is caring for others.
According to a survey conducted by The National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) and AARP in the year 2020, almost 53 million Americans are providing unpaid care to a family member or a friend.
Participants will gain insight into the role of a caregiver, the value of caregiving, the benefits of creating a care team that is inclusive of other supports and how to access resources that support caregiving.
Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging Program Developers, Betty Christensen and Kelly McDonough, LSW will be presenting on the topic of caregiving. Rhonda Anderson, LNHA will present on resources available through the Senior Linkage Line.
