About this event
Gardening is a healthy, fun activity for children! Young people that participate in gardening activities develop new skills, learn about science and nature, learn about where their food comes from and expand their creativity and imagination.
The 2021 4-H Youth Gardening program will provide hands-on, informative and imaginative activities for youth of all ages with new activities each month. The third virtual workshop of the year called Let’s Start A Pollinator Garden! is a hands-on gardening activity for youth ages 10-14, on Tuesday March 9, 2021 at 4pm. The workshop will last approximately 45 minutes. Together, we will learn about pollinators, what they do, and how to start one. Then, each participant will start their own seeds to be able to plant their very own pollinator garden.
This virtual workshop via Zoom is free of charge and all materials for this workshop will be provided to registered participants. Material packets can be picked up from the NC Cooperative Extension - Currituck Center at 120 Community Way, Barco, NC prior to the workshop.
Space is limited, so sign up today.
