Leslie Ladage, COTA/L

About Leslie
Leslie completed her studies, obtaining her degree and certificate in occupational therapy (OT) as an OT assistant in 2011, after completing her associates in liberal arts studies in 2007.

She is a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant with extensive experience in inpatient acute care setting, wheelchair seating and positioning, troubleshooting and assessment. She has vast knowledge and experience in the assessment and treatment of patients within multiple arenas, including but not limited to: Central Illinois’ Regional Trauma Center, the Regional Burn Center, and the CARF Certified Intensive Rehab Center with an emphasis in Neurological diagnoses at a Memorial’s Certified Comprehensive Stroke center. Her post-acute experience focuses primarily on post-hospital needs and return-to-home and community re-entry recommendations, including wheelchair, seating, home assessment and modification recommendations as well as family training and education. Leslie also serves as a clinical instructor to Level II occupational therapy assistant students and has experience in instruction of 2nd year medical students at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine on basic transfer training, wheelchair education, and proper handling of patients in the hospital setting.

In addition to her practice at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois, Leslie serves as the West Coast Marketing and Education Director for Precision Seating Solutions, where she is responsible for international healthcare education in the area of wheelchair seating and positioning, troubleshooting, assessment, intervention and more specifically, pressure related injuries, pressure wounds and the effect of pressure and microclimate on skin integrity.
