Event description
Take a tour of Nashville and learn the history behind our food, in collaboration with the exhibition: "Let's Eat!"

About this Event

Join us for an excursion to South Nashville to sample the tastes of some of its contemporary practitioners, followed by a tour of Let’s Eat! Origins and Evolutions of Tennessee Food, with curator Rob DeHart, to learn the history of the many foods we eat. The tour bus will depart from the Tennessee State Museum at Bicentennial Mall and head south to iconic Prince’s Hot Chicken at its new Nolensville Road location to learn how this famous recipe has become so popular with tourists and native Nashvillians alike. Then, the tour will travel to Plaza Mariachi to sample ethnic foods and learn how more recent immigrants have influenced our current cuisine. The trip will return to the Museum where DeHart for will lead a guided tour of the exhibition.

The price is $45 and includes all travel and food tastings. Space is extremely limited, so reserve your spot today.
