About the organizer
Alexander Valley Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery located 75 miles north of San Francisco. With vineyards that stretch from the banks of the Russian River to the Mayacamas hillsides the Wetzel Family continues the tradition of family farming on the property begun by valley namesake Cyrus Alexander in the mid 1840s.
Their wines reflect the unique character of the region. While AVV is well known for their elegant Cabernet Sauvignon, they also produce an array of estate wines including Chardonnay, Merlot, Zinfandel and their premium Cab blend – CYRUS. The secret to the quality and value in their hand-crafted wines starts with their initial property purchase in 1962 and continues with their commitment to their land.
Every bottle shares AVV's story and each glass brings the special place they call home to yours.
Their tasting room is open daily from 10am-5pm daily for complimentary estate wine tastings, and no reservations are required for groups of 6 or less. Special events and expirences are offered by reservation.
Their motto says it all "Our family creates wines of distinction for everyone!"
