Let's cook: Julemad (traditional Danish Christmas food)
Would you like to know more about typical Danish ingredients and dishes? In this group cooking session, Billund Kommune's Madguide's (food guides) will help you cook some traditonal 'julemad' - seasonal, celebration food and then enjoy eating a meal together. The session is also an opportunity to practice some Danish and learn vocabulary related to preparing and cooking food. Instruction will be in Danish and English - so help is on hand if you are just starting out learning Danish.
The ingredients will be provided and there will be a small cost of around 50kr to cover these - depending on the number participating on the day. Please bring cash or mobilpayat the session. Also bring containers to take away any leftovers.
You will be cooking some typical Danish dishes to create a two course meal between you all. If you have any preferences/ ideas/ something that you would really like to learn to cook, please let us know and we will try to accomodate this. We will email you the menu a few days in advance of the session.
There is a maximum of 8 places and sign up is required. If you can no longer attend, please let us know at least two days in advance, otherwise, you will be charged for the ingredients. If you have any problems finding the room, or are going to be late, please let Anny Pederson know on: 23717754. This is also the number for mobilpay.
The session takes place in Billund Skolen's 'Madkundskab'. To see a map of the school, go to www.billundskolen.dk and go to Om Skolen, then Kort over Skolen. It is easiest to find the room if you enter via C or I. There is parking at the school.
