Event description

Description

Can a policy that manages the risks of climate change actually be good for the economy? Could it provide a strong economy with lots of good jobs along with plentiful and affordable energy while also managing the risk of climate change? We think so.

Citizens’ Climate Lobby and Audubon Washington volunteers are holding a public, NON-PARTISAN event featuring local business leaders, politicians, climate scientists, and conservationists to engage our community in a conversation about the impacts of our changing climate, new energy ideas, and free-market economic policies that can mitigate climate and financial risk.

Join us for a lively and informative discussion about how such policies could directly contibute to a stronger, healthier Sandpoint and Idaho.

BONUS: BRING A DATE FROM ACROSS THE AISLE! In the spirit of bipartisanship, we're encouraging all attendees to mimic the House Climate Solutions Caucus -- which has over 60 members and requires equal participation by Republican and Democrats -- by bringing a friend whose political views may differ from yours. There will goodies for bipartisan couples and groups!
