Welcome 2 "Let Me Explain" Date Night For Newly Weds, Engaged, and Seasoned Couples. Our event is like no other marriage support group in the world! We offer a comprehensive marriage solution for couples who just got married, looking to get married, and who have been married since the dinosaurs walked the planet. We have something for everybody!!
As married couples, we know the importance of having a support group. We know how important it was to have someone other than our spouse in our life assisting us on the journey to understand in full the commitment we made on our wedding day. It was with this support that we were able to help make sense of the obstacles we faced inside of marriage. As we have become seasoned in marriage. We now know through experience the importance of running at a set pace just so you don't give up. And we want to share our experiences with you.
It is our desire as a nontraditional lifeline for marriage that we help each other through sharing, connecting, and understanding how we can collectively change the landscape of marriage by lowering the rate of divorce.
We have a total of 12 sessions throughout the year. We will meet in person on the 3rd Saturday of Every Month for Dinner, Activities, and Discussion. Childcare is included. Dinner Tickets are for 1 Adult and includes childcare for 1 walking and potty trained child. **If you are unable to purchase a Dinner Ticket, please notify the administrative staff for the event at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unfortunately there is no refund because of the cost associated with providing food, childcare, and space. However, a portion of your contribution will remain tax deductible.
Ebony Blackmon Humphrey
I am Ebony Blackmon Humphrey, one of the host for "Let Me Explain" Date Night. I am a licensed Registered Nurse, Author, Empowerment Specialist, Entrepreneur, and Mother of 6. I have been married since 2004 to a man that I met while attending high school. Together we have experienced the highs and lows of marriage. We have experienced the joy of having our first child while freshman in college to being a part of the Super Bowl as a player. We have witnessed the effects of the spot light of fame on our marriage, and know what it is like to jump over hurdles to uphold our martial vows, as public figures.
If you look at the statistics you will find that marriage is becoming a challenge, and this is why events like "Let Me Explain" are critical. Let Me Explain opens up the lines of communication between a husband and wife so that they come to terms with the commitment they made to remain married until death.
According to the Center for Disease and Control there are 2,118,000 married couples in the United States. The marriage according to these statistics is 6.8 per 1000 with a divorce rate of nearly half the amount (3.8 per 1000). These statistics are challenging the foundation of creation. Since the beginning of time, Man and Woman were created to flourish inside of marriage. They were created to reproduce the plan of a Holy God. However, the landscape of secularism has changed the way marriage functions thus disconnecting mankind from the original intent of God.
We are not a religious group. We are a people who believe in the uncompromising truth of God's word. We believe that the land can be healed and that marriage can be restored only if we turn back to God. We are a bold people who believe in pure righteousness, and holiness inside of marriage. We believe this to be the only cure to solve 100% percent of the problems troubling marriages across the world.
We believe in the blueprint of marriage according to scripture, and we hold ourselves accountable to the written practices of God's inspired word through the prophets.
