Join Us Thursday, October 8th for a day filled with NJ’s business leaders, providing direction, support and guidance on achieving excellence for nonprofits.  For profit organizations are welcome!

This best practices event for nonprofits is designed to bring approximately 125 executives together from NJ based organizations for the purpose of business development, education, networking, in addition to providing attendees with Continuing Education Credits, which have already been approved by Mercer Institute of Management & Technology Training.

  • 9:15 am: Morning Keynote by Michele Siekerka, President & CEO of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) on Nonprofit Nirvana

  • 10:30 am: Leah Pontani, Executive Director, Mercer Institute of Management & Technology Training, on Board Leadership and Grant writing
  • 11:00 am: Ellen Nardoni, Trustee for the Paul R. Nardoni Foundation, on How to Differentiate Your Nonprofit From Others
  • 11:30 am: David Gray, Executive Director, The Pennsylvania Ballet,  Trends in the Industry, Including PR & Marketing Tips for Nonprofits
  • 12:00 pm: Lunch 
  • 12:30 pm:  George McCullough, Executive Director, Princeton Community Television, on the Community Partners Program, Which Partners Filmmakers with Nonprofits to Create Storytelling Videos
  • 1:00 pm: Interactive Panel Discussion Moderated by Mayor Janice Kovach
  • 1:45 pm: Final Keynote, Steve Kalafer, Founder of Flemington Car & Truck Country, Chairman of the Somerset Patriots, Award-winning Film Producer and Philanthropist, on What a Benefactor Looks for in a Nonprofit.

Learn how to better brand, differentiate and communicate, find creative and innovative solutions for fundraising.  We will touch upon how philanthropists make decisions on their charities, forming boards and leadership improvement.  This event is about creating loyalty from donors, volunteers and the community.
